Starfield PS5 Release Date and Pricing Leaked

by Ali Haider

New details surrounding the PlayStation 5 version of Starfield have reportedly been leaked by Dealabs, outlining a release date, pricing structure, and pre-order timeline for Bethesda’s science fiction RPG on Sony’s platform.

According to the report, Starfield is scheduled to launch physically on PS5 on April 7, 2026. The leak also claims that the game will be available in both Standard and Premium editions, mirroring the structure of the Xbox release. However, Premium Edition buyers will not receive early access on PS5. The exact contents of the Premium Edition have not yet been finalized.

The most notable element of the leak concerns pricing. Dealabs reports that the PS5 version will launch at a lower price point than the original Xbox release. European pricing is listed as follows:

  • Starfield PS5 Standard Edition priced at €49.99 or £44.99.
  • Starfield PS5 Premium Edition priced at €69.99 or £59.99.

The reduction is said to reach up to 40 euros compared to the initial launch pricing on Xbox platforms.

Pre-orders are expected to go live on March 18, 2026, with the possibility of opening earlier in the evening on March 17. It remains unclear whether this timing will coincide with an official announcement from Bethesda or Xbox.

Starfield originally launched on September 6, 2023, for Xbox Series X and S and PC. Developed by Bethesda Game Studios using Creation Engine 2, the game introduced players to the Settled Systems in the year 2330 and marked the studio’s first new intellectual property in more than two decades. Its first expansion, Shattered Space, released in September 2024, with a second expansion titled Starborn scheduled for the first half of 2026.

Bethesda has not publicly confirmed the reported PS5 release date or pricing.
