The newly released PC version of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Shift Up’s action-adventure game, Stellar Blade, has achieved the highest player count of all single-player PlayStation published titles on Steam.
The PC version of Stellar Blade has reached an all-time concurrent player count of 119,524 (via SteamDB) on Steam, making it the top PlayStation published single-player title in terms of all-time player count. This is very impressive as it has been over a year since the game launched on PS5 in April, 2024, and also because it is being sold at the same price of 59.99 US Dollars.

When compared to other single-player PlayStation first-party titles, including major franchises like Spider-Man and God of War, Stellar Blade has performed remarkably well on Steam, leading the way with a peak player count of 119,524. It is followed by God of War at #2, with an all-time player count of 73,529. At #3 is Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, with a peak player count of 66,436, which is followed by Horizon Zero Dawn with 56,557 all-time concurrent players at #4. At #5 comes God of War Ragnarok, with 35,615 peak concurrent players.
There are a few things to consider regarding the success of Stellar Blade’s PC port on Steam. First, it received proper marketing than the usual first-party PlayStation PC port. which are generally released on Steam without any prominent promotion. Second, a playable demo for the game was released on Steam prior to its PC release, allowing players to give it a try and make up their mind about buying it at launch. Third, given how DLC outfits have been very popular with fans on the PS5, the PC version offers even greater potential to mod user-generated outfits. Lastly, the PC port of Stellar Blade is in great shape, with no major technical issues. The latter can’t be said for the recent PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which suffers from performance issues even to this day.
