Well-known streamer Shroud backs Embark Studios’ Arc Raiders for Game of the Year awards, telling his followers not to let Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 win.
During his recent Arc Raiders stream, content creator Shroud recently told (via ShroudUpdate on Twitter/X) his followers that they need to make sure the PvPvE extraction shooter wins Game of the Year awards. He also asked those watching to not let Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 win. “Do not let that Expedition game win. Do not let it. Absolutely do not. We all have to band together to make this game win.”
According to the streamer, fans of multiplayer titles are in the minority when it comes to consideration for Game of the Year awards. “Us multiplayer gamers are the minority, okay? We’re the minority, being multiplayer gamers. But I believe we can win. I believe. We just need to tell everybody.”
Shroud further mentioned that he hadn’t got himself involved in the Game of the Year debate in the past, including for games like Elden Ring. However, this year will be different. “I’ve never voted for anything ever, but I think I’m going to vote this year for [Arc Raiders].” Though, he added that he believes votes don’t actually matter, and that all awards are “rigged”. “When have you ever seen an award that’s actually legit?”, he asked his audience.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 continues to stand out as one of the year’s most successful original releases, blending imaginative storytelling, atmospheric art direction, and immersive music into a critically acclaimed experience. Last month, Sandfall Interactive announced that the game has achieved an impressive milestone of 5 million copies sold worldwide, just five months after its release in April. The studio shared the news alongside a heartfelt message of gratitude to its global fanbase, acknowledging the overwhelming community support that has helped propel the title’s ongoing success.
