A Sucker Punch Productions developer has reportedly been fired after making comments on the death of American political activist Charlie Kirk.
After the death of American political activist Charlie Kirk, former Sucker Punch Productions Senior Staff Character Artist Drew Harrison took to Blue Sky to share her thoughts on the matter, saying she hopes “the shooter’s name is Mario so that Luigi knows his bro got his back.”

Others on Blue Sky likely reported her post to Sony Interactive Entertainment or Sucker Punch Productions, which led to her subsequent post, in which she addressed those people, saying that, instead of emailing her employer, they should be emailing their “reps and demand gun control immediately.” She further stated that if “standing up against fascism” is what ends up costing her the dream job she has held for 10 years, she would “do it again 100x stronger.”
Drew Harrison’s LinkedIn profile has been updated to reflect that she is no longer working at Sucker Punch Productions, and it appears that she may have been fired as a result of her statements on Blue Sky.
Sucker Punch Productions is currently working on the upcoming Ghost of Yotei. The developer recently shed light on new details, offering fans a clearer picture of what to expect when the game arrives on October 2, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation 5. In a rapid-fire interview with MinMax, game director Nate Fox responded to more than one hundred questions, ranging from the scale of the world to combat systems and narrative choices.
One of the key revelations concerns the size of the game’s map. According to Fox, the world of Ghost of Yotei is roughly equal in scale to the map featured in Ghost of Tsushima. While there is some story-based gating, Fox emphasized that it will not be as restrictive as the earlier game. He also hinted at exploration opportunities across the snowy region of Ezo, suggesting the mountain of Yotei itself may hide a number of secrets for players to uncover.
