Nintendo has released version 13.0.4 for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, introducing key fixes to both offline and online functionality. This update focuses on resolving visual issues associated with Mii Fighters, where thumbnail images sometimes failed to generate correctly when players created or edited these fighters in the Games & More section. The fix improves the user experience when customizing and saving Mii Fighters locally.
On the online front, compatibility issues between Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 players have been addressed through system version 20.1.5, released for the Switch 2 on June 18, 2025. Previously, cross-platform matches involving Mii Fighters could end abruptly upon initiation. This fix restores proper match continuity and ensures that players across hardware generations can compete without unexpected disconnections. Players are advised that older replays may face compatibility problems due to past updates, and they should convert important replays to video files before applying the new patch.
