SwitchForce Clarifies His “7” Tease for Nintendo Direct September 2025, Confirms Ace Attorney 7 Will Not Appear

by Ali Haider

Speculation around the September 2025 Nintendo Direct has intensified following fresh comments from an insider and content creator SwitchForce. After hinting that three games tied to the number “7” will appear in the showcase, he has now clarified that no one has correctly guessed the full lineup yet. At the same time, he confirmed that Ace Attorney 7 is not among the announcements.

Fans on social media have been attempting to decode the riddle, throwing out guesses ranging from Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to Soul Calibur 7 and Dragon Quest VII. When pressed on the matter, SwitchForce reiterated that while players have gotten close, the correct combination has not been revealed. Responding directly to a fan concerned about Ace Attorney 7, he stated bluntly, “Negative captain :/”, ruling out its appearance in the Direct.

SwitchForce originally teased the “777 jackpot” during a recent video, describing the Nintendo Direct—allegedly scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025—as a “monumental” showcase. The slot-machine metaphor suggested three major announcements or ports associated with the number seven. Given that the event will take place just one day before Mario’s 40th anniversary, fans also expect Nintendo to dedicate part of the broadcast to the iconic mascot.

In the same discussion, SwitchForce addressed broader topics surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2. He pointed to Star Wars Outlaws as a surprisingly strong demonstration of the hardware’s capabilities, particularly due to its reliance on game key cards rather than traditional cartridges. While some collectors have expressed frustration over the format shift, developers argue that the higher data streaming speeds required for open-world games make key cards a necessary compromise. According to Ubisoft’s Rob Banton, the Switch 2 cartridges alone could not deliver the performance needed for Outlaws.

As the countdown to the Direct continues, the mystery of the “7” clue remains unsolved. Whether the trio of games refers to beloved classics, remasters, or high-profile ports, SwitchForce’s insistence that fans have yet to crack the code has only heightened curiosity.
