Bandai Namco has announced that Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 22, bringing the complete version of the acclaimed action RPG to Nintendo’s new platform.
The edition bundles the original Tales of Arise, which released in 2021, together with the Beyond the Dawn expansion. Players will also receive additional in-game costumes and items as part of the package. Bandai Namco describes the release as the definitive way to experience the award-winning entry in the long-running Tales series on Nintendo hardware.
Tales of Arise follows the intertwined journeys of Alphen and Shionne as they fight to liberate the planet Dahna after 300 years of domination by the world of Rena. The story centers on two individuals from opposing worlds who come together in an effort to change their destinies and shape a new future. Throughout the adventure, players explore large regions, engage in fast-paced real-time combat, and meet a wide cast of companions while uncovering the truth behind the conflict that binds both worlds.
The Beyond the Dawn expansion continues the narrative one year after the events of the main game. It introduces a new storyline, additional areas to explore, and new characters, while further examining the uneasy relationship between the Renans and the Dahnans. Bandai Namco states that the expansion offers more than 20 hours of extra gameplay.
