Tales of Arise supports the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and it turns out that the Series X takes a lead in performance over the PS5.
According to the technical analysis, it has been revealed that the game supports two different modes on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. One is the performance mode that targets a lower resolution but locks to a solid 60 FPS on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. The other is a graphics mode that runs at 4K and targets 60 FPS, but it fails to hit the mark on the PS5.
In the case of the PS5, the frame rate averages at 45 FPS while on the Xbox Series X, it can maintain between 50 to 60 FPS. The resolution in the performance mode is dropped to 1620p but it leads to a locked 60 FPS experience.
In the case of the last generation consoles, the performance is a mixed bag. Frame rate is unlocked on all platforms and leads to an average of 35 FPS and above on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The resolution is also higher on these platforms, whereas on the Xbox One and PS4, the resolution is 1080p and lower while the performance caps around the same limit.
The demo is available to download globally on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. Bandai Namco has skipped out on a demo for PC but the game is confirmed to launch on the same date on PC as the consoles. The game is due to launch on September 10, 2021.
