Bandai Namco Entertainment has released Tales of Berseria Remastered today, bringing the action JRPG to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. The updated edition revives the 2017 entry in the long-running Tales series with modern platform support and a selection of quality-of-life enhancements.
Originally launched in 2017, Tales of Berseria follows Velvet Crowe, a young woman driven by revenge after the tragic loss of her younger brother. Her journey centers on confronting those responsible, while wrestling with the emotional conflict between her former self and the anger that now defines her path. The narrative explores whether she can preserve her humanity or fully surrender to vengeance.
Combat remains a core focus of the experience. The battle system emphasizes customization, allowing players to tailor playstyles and chain together powerful attacks. By stealing souls from enemies, players can extend combos and strengthen offensive pressure, resulting in fast-paced encounters that reward aggressive and strategic play.
The remastered version introduces several usability improvements. These include destination icons to better guide progression, the ability to toggle enemy encounters, and early access to the Grade Shop. In addition, the release bundles previously available downloadable content from the original version, such as character costumes, bonus items, and other extras.
Tales of Berseria Remastered is available now across all announced platforms.
