Bandai Namco appears to be on the verge of announcing a remastered version of its action role-playing game, Tales of Xillia.
The Bandai Namco Europe YouTube channel inadvertently posted a video that is scheduled to go live on August 18, 2025. It remained visible for around a minute, after which it was taken down by the channel’s operator. The video is titled, “Tales of Series News”, implying that the company has a major announcement to make regarding its role-playing game series in a few days.

Before the video was taken down, eagle-eyed followers of the Bandai Namco Europe YouTube channel were able to spot mention of a remastered version of Tales of Xillia, which is likely what the announcement is for.
For those who would like to catch the announcement live, the video is scheduled to go live at 9:45 AM EST on Monday, August 18, 2025.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard of a remastered version of Tales of Xillia. Last year, Czech Republic-based online retailer JRC preemptively listed a new version of the action role-playing game for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch. A release date or window was not mentioned in the accompanied details. The game’s price was also not revealed, though given how Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition was priced at $49.99, the same would likely apply to Tales of Xillia Remastered. Going by the tentative box art, the listing did appear to be legitimate.
For the uninitiated, Tales of Xillia is an action role-playing game that was originally released exclusively for the PlayStation 3. It is the thirteenth main entry in the Tales series, developed by Namco Tales Studio and published by Namco Bandai Games. The game launched in Japan on September 7, 2011, and was localized for North America and the PAL region in August, 2013. Set in the fictional world of Rieze Maxia, where humans and spirits coexist, the story follows Jude Mathis and Milla Maxwell as they evade government officials after destroying a weapon of mass destruction called the Lance of Kresnik.
