Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is now available on PC and consoles, and if you’ve been wondering how to unlock Casey Jones as a playable character, keep reading to find out how.
For the uninitiated, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a beat ’em up developed by Tribute Games and produced by Dotemu. It is based on the 1987 Turtles animated series and takes aesthetic inspiration from Konami’s arcade and home console games from the 1980s and 1990s.
Who Is Casey Jones?
Bernid Arnold Jones, sometimes known as “Casey,” is a fictitious character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and associated media. Raphael: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle was created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird and originally appears in the one-shot Raphael: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Casey Jones is a vigilante, like the turtles, and was developed as a spoof of vigilante figures that were prominent in comic books at the time. He’s also the love interest of April O’Neil. Casey normally has long dark hair, wears an ice hockey mask and cut-off bicycle gloves, and carries his weaponry over his shoulder in a golf bag. His weapons include baseball bats, ice hockey sticks, golf clubs, cricket bats, and tennis rackets, among other sports equipment.
How To Unlock Casey Jones In Shredder’s Revenge
Unlocking Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is fairly simple and only requires a couple of hours of your time. You’ll need to pick one of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, Splinter, and April, and play through the game.
Once you’ve taken down Shredder and his goons and beaten the story mode once, you’ll be prompted with an on-screen message, letting you know that Casey Jones is now available in the character selection menu.
This should give the game some additional replay value, as you’d probably want to give Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge another playthrough as the newly unlocked Casey Jones. You’ll also be able to take him online to team up in coop with up to 5 other players.
For now, Casey is the only character you can unlock in the game. However, this may change with the arrival of fresh downloadable content, but that will have to wait for now. It’s hardly an issue, though, given how there are a total of 7 characters to choose from at launch.
