Developers behind Bandai Namco Entertainment’s fighting game, Tekken 8, have shared ideas for potential guest DLC characters they’ve been discussing, including the likes of Deadpool and John Wick.
During a recent panel, Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray were asked about future guest DLC characters that may appear in the game. In response, the Tekken 8 producers revealed that they’ve been kicking around the ideas of bringing Deadpool, John Wick, and more.

Deadpool
Harada explained that he really wanted to bring Deadpool to Tekken 8, but it proved quite difficult due to the timing on both sides. Additionally, if Bandai Namco Entertainment were to add Deadpool to the fighting game’s roster, Marvel would also want to include other characters that would be a one-off kind of thing.
Donald Trump
Murray mentioned that Harada and him also brought up US president Donald Trump in the discussion as a Tekken 8 DLC character. According to him, it would be entertaining, as some people might want to “beat people with him” and others may want to “beat him up”. However, people on the corporate side of Bandai Namco Entertainment told the development team not to go ahead with this idea.
John Wick
Murray said that he’s been wanting to bring John Wick to Tekken 8 as a guest DLC character for some time. According to him, the fighting game has got a unique feel to it, and that it’s not very Hollywood-esque. However, he added that a character like John Wick would fit the vibe of Tekken.
Mike Tyson
The development team also considered bringing Mike Tyson to Tekken 8, but the executives at Bandai Namco Entertainment turned down the idea due to his criminal record.
For now, Tekken 8 fans can look forward to the upcoming DLC character Miary Zo. Following her recent reveal at EVO 2025, Bandai Namco Entertainment offered insight into the character’s creation process. Read about it here.
