Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared new information regarding the upcoming Season 2 of its fighting game, Tekken 8, with details on balance tweaks, DLC characters, and more.
During the latest episode of Tekken Talk, Tekken 8 developers Katsuhiro Harada, Michael Murray, Kohei “Nakatsu” Ikeda, and Yasuda Esports shared new details regarding the game’s upcoming Season 2.

New Details On Tekken 8 Season 2 DLC Characters & Stages
During the stream, the Tekken 8 developers dropped hints regarding the DLC characters that will arrive as part of the upcoming season. The new details can be seen below.

All in all, the upcoming season of Tekken 8 will feature 6 DLCs, all of which can be purchased individually or as part of the Season Pass, which will be available starting March 31, 2025. Each piece of content will come with a 72-hour early access window.
Tekken 8 Season 2 Balance Tweaks Revealed
The Tekken 8 development team has also shared details on some of the character balance tweaks that will be implemented alongside Season 2. They can be seen below.
- Jin Kazama
- 2, 1, 4 string is now -10 frames on block
- Zen 1+2 no longer triggers Heat Engage
- Up/Forward + 2 is now -10 frames on block
- Down + 2 now has reduced range
- Down + 2 no longer results in a launch on Counter Hit
- King
- Mid-stance armor move now takes full damage
- Mid-stance armor move is now slower on recovery, making it easier to punish
- Command grabs now home in on opponent
- Chip damage is incurred on his throws when an opponent breaks them
- New follow-up moves added from his running stance
- Yoshimitsu
- Flash now has slower recovery, making it easier to punish
- Forward, Forward, Forward + 3 no longer does chip damage
- New follow-up moves with frame advantage have been added to his mixup ability, one of which is +9 frames on block
- Will not be able to perform his unblockable sweep after transitioning into crouch stance from Heat Engager
