Tekken 8 Update 1.03 Is Out, Brings Eddy Gordo DLC and More
Bandai Namco has released Tekken 8 update 1.03 today, which introduces the Eddy Gordo DLC and includes various character balance adjustments.
The update introduces Eddy Gordo as a new playable character, with early access provided to owners of the Playable Character Year 1 Pass. Additionally, the Tekken Fight Pass has been introduced to the Tekken Shop, offering players the opportunity to level up by completing daily and weekly missions in online matches, thereby earning various rewards, including Tekken Coins for use in the shop. New items, including costume sets and an avatar skin for Eddy Gordo, have been added to the Tekken Shop, enhancing customization options for players.
Functional improvements and bug fixes are also part of this update, with enhancements to online match termination conditions and indications for randomly selected stages in Player Match mode. Notably, a new quit option has been added to the main menu for easier game exit (Steam version only). Additionally, adjustments to move behaviors and properties for select characters aim to correct unintended behavior and contribute to ongoing balance efforts. Version 1.04, scheduled for release in May following EVO Japan 2024, will further focus on character balancing, with buffs planned for characters needing greater showcase opportunities, alongside adjustments to moves exhibiting significant strength.

- Behavior/Properties Adjustments:
- Focus on correcting unintended move behavior, with further balance adjustments planned for version 1.04 in May after EVO Japan 2024.

- “DOWNLOADED REPLAYS”, ”MY REPLAY & TIPS”: Replay data from before the update will be unavailable for playback.
