Tekken 8 Update 2.01 Will Reduce Air Combo Damage and Tweak Heat Burst

Bandai Namco has shared a preview of the upcoming balance adjustments planned for the Tekken 8 update version 2.01, which is scheduled to arrive in mid-May. Among the major changes, the developers will reduce the damage output of aerial combos and revise the functionality of the Heat Burst mechanic to address balance issues raised by the player community.

These upcoming adjustments reflect the development team’s ongoing effort to improve match dynamics and curb one-sided gameplay. Developers have confirmed that feedback will continue to shape future patches, with attention given to individual character performance and game mechanics that contribute to dominant strategies.

Tekken 8 Update 2.01 Partial Patch Notes:

Upcoming Changes in Ver. 2.01 (Mid-May):

  • Aerial combo damage will be mitigated.
  • Heat Burst performance will be revised.

Previous Patch – Ver. 2.00.03:

  • Character-Specific Bug Fix:
    • Resolved a bug where Eddy could move in front of Nina immediately at the start of a match.

Tekken 8 is the latest installment in Bandai Namco’s long-running fighting game franchise. Known for its deep mechanics and dynamic battles, the game features a diverse cast and introduces new systems like the Heat mechanic to enhance offensive play.
