Bandai Namco has shared new details on Tekken 8 update 3.00.01, outlining its immediate plans to address player feedback following the launch of Season 3.

In a message to players, the developer acknowledged the response to Version 3.00.00, stating, “In the first week alone, we received over 700 submissions, and we are reviewing each report on a daily basis while proceeding with the necessary responses and adjustments.” The team admitted that recent balance changes “have not fully met your expectations,” despite efforts to refine gameplay around character individuality and reduce excessive rewards tied to the Heat system.

Update 3.00.01 is scheduled to release around 7:00 PM PDT on March 25 and will function as an emergency patch focused on critical bugs and unintended behaviors. According to Bandai Namco, full patch notes will be published alongside the update. Additional updates are already planned, with Version 3.00.02 targeted for mid-April and Version 3.01 expected later in spring 2026, each addressing broader gameplay balance and system adjustments.

The developer reiterated its ongoing goal of creating a more balanced experience between offense and defense, particularly through continued tuning of the Heat system. “While maintaining the direction of the Ver.3.00.00 adjustments, we will continue addressing elements that still result in excessive rewards or one-sided gameplay,” the statement reads.

Bandai Namco also confirmed that feedback collected through the Tekken Dev Feedback Portal is shaping its priorities. The system currently prioritizes bug reports and issues, generating strong community engagement, while future updates will expand to include broader gameplay and system-level requests. The company noted that it has introduced a new submission category for battle and system-related feedback and is planning additional discussion channels on its official Discord server.

Season 3 of Tekken 8 launched on March 17, 2026, introducing a “Refined Balance” approach aimed at reworking core systems. Changes include adjustments to the Heat system, removal of certain enhanced character states after Heat expires, and updates to ranked matchmaking that now pair players based on their selected character. The update also forms part of a wider content roadmap tied to the Season 3 Pass, which includes the return of characters such as Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr.

Tekken 8 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with the franchise having surpassed 61 million units sold as of late 2025.
