Terra Nil Heatwave Update Adds New Arid Region, Wildlife, and Photography Mode

by Ali Haider

The latest free Heatwave update for Terra Nil introduces a new arid region featuring diverse terrains like deserts, salt pans, and floodplains. Players will restore three new maps—Parched Oasis, Canyon Peaks, and Fracked Floodplain—each offering unique challenges such as oil fires, radioactive zones, and industrial pollution. These maps are also populated with iconic animals like elephants, lions, giraffes, and rhinos, enriching the ecological restoration experience.

In addition, the update brings the long-awaited photography mode, allowing players to capture and store images of animals in restored habitats. The new companion character, ERW1N, a multifunctional recycling rover, adds a fresh gameplay mechanic via joystick controls. With this release, Terra Nil now includes all five major climate zones, fulfilling the developers’ original vision for the game.
