Re-Logic has marked Terraria’s 15th anniversary by revealing new sales milestones, teasing future updates, and announcing several anniversary projects tied to the long-running sandbox game. The studio confirmed that Terraria has now sold more than 70 million copies worldwide across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
According to the developer, PC remains the game’s largest platform with 39.6 million copies sold, followed by mobile at 19.7 million and consoles at 10.7 million. Re-Logic also shared updated figures for tModLoader, which has reached 12.3 million downloads on Steam. The studio highlighted the game’s continued popularity on PC, noting that Terraria averaged 461,000 daily players over the past year and peaked at 1.4 million, while tModLoader averaged 237,000 daily users, peaking at 441,000.
The developer used the anniversary celebration to thank the community for supporting Terraria over the past decade and a half, noting that ongoing player support has allowed the studio to continue expanding the game without introducing microtransactions or raising prices. Re-Logic also reflected on the game’s broad player base, ranging from builders and speedrunners to modding communities using tModLoader.
Alongside the anniversary message, the studio confirmed that crossplay support is currently in development and said Terraria updates will continue even after the release of update 1.4.6 and the addition of crossplay functionality. While no specific roadmap was provided, Re-Logic stated that additional details regarding future content plans will be shared later.
The anniversary celebrations also include several new merchandise and collectible projects. Re-Logic announced a Terraria 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition box set, with full details and preorder information expected to arrive in early June.
In addition, the studio revealed Terraria: Design Works, a retrospective book created in partnership with Lost In Cult. The book will explore the history and development of Terraria through behind-the-scenes stories, previously unseen artwork, and commentary from the development team. Preorders for Terraria: Design Works are scheduled to open on May 28 at 6 PM BST, with both standard and deluxe editions planned.
Re-Logic closed the announcement by reaffirming its commitment to Terraria’s future, suggesting that the game will continue receiving support and new ideas for years to come.
