The Callisto Protocol Is Suffering From Stuttering On PC, But There Is A Fix Out

The Callisto Protocol appears to be facing some stuttering issues affecting performance on PC which is leading to negative reviews.

If you are playing The Callisto Protocol on a powerful PC, you will still face the same stuttering issues that are being reported by other players. It is leading to an overwhelmingly negative reception for the game on Steam. The reviews appear to be mostly complaining about performance issues or bugs with the game so if you are one of the affected users, you will need to install this fix.

The Callisto Protocol Stuttering Fix

There is no manual way to fix the problem since this is an Unreal Engine 4 issue, but this is where the developers have stepped in to resolve the problem.

If you are facing stuttering with the PC version of the game, chances are that it is due to the shader compiling issue which we have seen occurring in the majority of the Unreal Engine 4 games on PC. There is no way to fix this without any help from the developer but that’s why they have just released a new patch for the game on PC.

If you haven’t updated The Callisto Protocol yet on Steam, make sure to grab the latest update. Here’s the statement from the developers regarding the issue that is resolved with this patch.

“A PC patch is now available to improve gameplay stuttering issues due to shader compilation. After updating, you may see temporary stuttering in the game menu the first time you launch the app. We are working on further optimizations in the days ahead, ” reads the statement from the developers.

The new build number for The Callisto Protocol after the December 3 update should be 10070093. Make sure you have the latest build of the game to resolve the stuttering issues on your PC. If you can’t seem to find it, just manually update the game on Steam and confirm it is the latest version.

The Callisto Protocol is available on PC and Consoles. It also appears to face some issues on the Xbox Series X compared to PS5.
