Bethesda Softworks and Virtuos’ action role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, has reached an all-time concurrent player count of 180,000 on Valve’s digital distribution platform, Steam.
According to Steam charts (via SteamDB), as of writing, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has reached an all-time concurrent player count of 182,298 on Steam. It’s worth noting that the game is available day one on Game Pass and has relatively high minimum system requirements, in part due to its mandatory use of Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen-based software ray tracing.

That said, Microsoft and Bethesda Softworks’ other recent release, Starfield, also went through some of the aforementioned constraints, but still managed to reach an all-time concurrent player count of 330,723. MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Cicle didn’t fare so well, however, as it only managed to receive an all-time concurrent player count of 12,138. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered also performed better than Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush, which reached an all-time concurrent player count of 6,132, and Arkane Austin’s Redfall, which has an all-time concurrent player count of 6,124 players.
It’s possible that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered’s all-time Steam concurrent player count will go higher during the coming weekend, possibly crossing the 200,000 mark. Only time will tell, though the current all-time peak is impressive, given that game is available day one on Game Pass for Xbox and PC.
For the uninitiated, the remastered version of 2006’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion brings a significant technical and artistic overhaul of one of the most iconic role-playing games in video game history. It introduces a sweeping range of graphical upgrades, including a reworked global illumination system, brand new assets, enhanced geometry and textures, increased level of detail, added post-process effects, overhauled foliage, improved shadows and ambient occlusion, and more.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
