Embark Studios has rolled out Update 8.5.0 for The Finals, marking the start of a fast-paced new World Tour Event and adding a host of festive and competitive content to the arena. The latest update bids farewell to the Heaven or Else event and welcomes Rushdown, a speed-oriented mode where players gain bursts of movement for every enemy they eliminate. Each takedown grants a five-second boost of super speed, giving contestants an opportunity to chain kills and sprint their way to victory in the most adrenaline-fueled event yet.
Alongside the gameplay update, Embark is celebrating the Halloween season with a fresh lineup of spooky cosmetics available in the in-game store. Players can also look forward to five new esports bundles, each representing major professional teams and sponsors ahead of The Finals’ appearance at DreamHack Stockholm later this year. The update additionally expands regional support, welcoming Finland and Norway to the growing list of participating nations in the game’s international competition.
