THE FINALS Update 9.1.0 Adds Holiday Content and Fixes

Update 9.1.0 brings a festive theme to THE FINALS, introducing holiday-themed cosmetics, limited-time Twitch Drops, and a special cross-game contract tied to ARC Raiders. Alongside seasonal content, the update delivers targeted balance adjustments, exploit fixes, and a broad set of stability and performance improvements.

The patch also addresses multiple gameplay and UI issues across modes, gadgets, and social features. While some Barricade-related problems remain under investigation, this update focuses on improving overall reliability and smoothing out moment-to-moment play in the Arena.

Patch Notes

Store Update

  • Added the Gift Ripper cosmetic set to the in-game store
  • Introduced additional holiday-themed cosmetic items

Twitch Drops

  • Added Charmalure Set with 3 weapon skins, unlocked with 3 Twitch subscriptions
  • Added Bass Unit 86 helmet, unlocked with 5 total Twitch subscriptions
  • Extended the Calvin the Cube Twitch Drops duration into the new year

ARC Raiders Contract

  • Added ARC Raiders crossover contract
  • Unlocked a special ARC Raiders outfit by playing 3 matches in THE FINALS
  • Required completing the contract, launching ARC Raiders, and having an Embark ID connected
  • Granted XP in THE FINALS while progressing the contract

Balance Changes

Weapons

  • V9S
    • Reduced damage from 40 to 38

Cosmetics

  • Reduced clipping on Baihu Pathfinder outfits when worn with long jackets
  • Fixed a visible gap in the Muzzle Wyrm Flamethrower visual effects

Gadgets

  • Fixed an issue allowing APS Turret, Jump Pad, and Guardian Turret to be deployed inside walls

Game Modes

Point Break

  • Prevented the Grand Vault objective from being pushed outside the playable area
  • Added fallback logic to keep the objective within borders
  • Updated objective border behavior after phase changes
    • Attacker borders now deactivate when a phase ends
    • Defender borders no longer block players unintentionally

Performance Improvements

  • Reduced in-match stuttering caused by shaders not being precompiled from the user cache
  • Reduced occasional gameplay freezes
  • Improved stability by preventing eviction of essential shaders used for UI, lighting, and post-processing
  • Fixed delayed Instant Replays
  • Improved performance in the Practice Range
  • Improved performance in Powershift mode
  • Improved performance on maps with moving platforms

Social

  • Fixed Steam names displaying instead of Embark Display Names
  • Fixed backfilled players inheriting incorrect Display Names

Stability

  • Fixed several PlayStation 4 memory-related crashes
  • Updated recommended AMD graphics driver to version 25.12.1, resolving recent crash issues

UI

  • Fixed Multi-Device tab not previewing equipped skins and charms after tab switching
  • Added missing Double Jeopardy modifier descriptions to Private Matches for Cashout and Ranked Cashout
  • Fixed incorrect HUD elements when spectating party members in Point Break
  • Fixed World Tour points not displaying in end-of-round results
  • Corrected Sponsor progression display for fans and rewards
  • Fixed Premium Battle Pass levels not appearing immediately after purchase
  • Fixed Ultimate Battle Pass preview showing incorrect instant rewards
  • Fixed incorrect navigation after purchasing Premium or Ultimate Battle Pass
  • Updated Ranked and World Tour league reward images and text
  • Fixed Season 6 Legacy Battle Pass being inaccessible
  • Fixed Ultimate Battle Pass appearing purchasable multiple times

THE FINALS launched on December 7, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a PlayStation 4 release following on December 12, 2024. Update 9.1.0 is now live.
