The Finals Update 9.5.0 Brings Back Vertigo and Fixes Key Issues

Update 9.5.0 for The Finals delivers a mix of returning content and targeted fixes, highlighted by the comeback of the Vertigo Cashout event. Alongside gameplay updates, the patch also refreshes the in-game store and resolves several issues affecting maps, weapons, matchmaking, and security.

While the update is not content-heavy in terms of new systems, it focuses on improving stability and restoring fan-favorite features. The return of Vertigo adds a temporary mobility twist to matches, encouraging more vertical and creative playstyles.

Store Update

  • Added the Snow Poser Set to the in-game store
  • Introduced a store sale featuring several popular bundles from previous releases

Cashout Event

  • Reintroduced the Vertigo Cashout event
  • Enabled a double jump ability while the event is active during a match
  • Allowed players to reach elevated routes and objectives using enhanced vertical mobility

    • Fixed a lighting issue that caused certain areas of the map to appear overly bright

Weapons

    • Fixed an issue where the weapon became fully automatic when switching from the Healing Beam

  • Disabled a launch command that allowed unintended access to a developer console

    • Fixed an issue preventing some players from connecting when a spectator was present
    • Removed the option to select a non-functional version of the P E A C E Center map
