The King of Fighters XV Update 2.42 Adjusts Hitboxes, Cancels, and Character Balance

by Ali Haider

The King of Fighters XV has received its latest update, version 2.42, which introduces critical fixes and balance adjustments for several characters. Dolores sees improvements to her Hadir (MAX) move, with adjustments ensuring the initial hitbox remains within the stage and an expanded second-hit attack range to prevent corner whiffing. Ash Crimson’s Floreal (→ + LK) move now allows cancellations during Sans-culotte. Robert Garcia’s Gen-ei Kyaku and Ryuuren Gen-ei Kyaku gain hitbox corrections and resolve Super Cancel timing issues.

B. Jenet’s Aurora has been tweaked for better hit connectivity, while Vice’s Disgrace move now ensures the cinematic sequence plays correctly under all circumstances. The complete details of the various changes can be read in the patch notes below.
