The Outer Worlds 2 Patch 1.0.5.0 Resolves Major Quest Bugs, Improves Companions, and Polishes Visuals

Obsidian Entertainment has rolled out Patch 1.0.5.0 for The Outer Worlds 2, delivering an extensive range of fixes and refinements across gameplay, quests, visuals, and performance. The update focuses heavily on player-reported issues, addressing crashes, animation bugs, quest progression blockers, and companion behavior improvements. It also includes better foliage placement, enhanced lighting, fixed geometry issues, and improved visual fidelity throughout Arcadia’s locales.

Companions benefit from significant survivability upgrades on harder difficulties, alongside more natural interactions and better staging during conversations. Numerous quests have been fine-tuned to ensure smoother progression, with key adjustments to Inez, Hogarth, and Ruth’s storylines. The patch also refines combat balance, audio responsiveness, and overall system stability, marking one of the game’s most substantial updates since launch.
