The budget and expected launch price of the previously rumored third expansion for CD Projekt’s action role-playing game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has allegedly been revealed.

According to a new analyst report from Noble Securities’ Mateusz Chrzanowski (via WitcherIVnews on Twitter/X), who maintains an accumulate rating for CD Projekt stock as well as revised internal schedules and budget expectations for the company’s flagship projects, the rumored third expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is expected to have a launch price of 30 US Dollars and to sell 11 million copies.

The analyst further mentioned that the upcoming DLC has a production budget of around 14.5 million US Dollars, excluding marketing. He added that the release of the expansion will kick off the proper marketing campaign for the next entry in the series, The Witcher 4. It’s possible that the narrative featured in the DLC will provide the groundwork for the main story of the sequel.

In December, 2025, during an episode of the Rock and Borys podcast, co-host Borys Nieśpielak claimed that multiple independent sources within the Polish games industry confirmed to him that new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to be released. He believes now is “the best moment to announce this expansion,” adding that he would be genuinely surprised if CD Projekt didn’t reveal it soon. When co-host Remigiusz “Rock” Maciaszek asked whether an announcement was truly imminent, Nieśpielak reassured that his claim isn’t based on speculation.

Nieśpielak explained that he had verified the information via “several other sources, including one of the biggest,” and asked his audience to remain calm because the DLC is a “sure thing.” Rock responded that he trusted his co-host but still felt “a bit up in the air” without access to the same sources, saying he’d  wait for an official confirmation from CD Projekt.
