EA and Respawn Entertainment’s rumored Titanfall 3 is allegedly a live service Extraction shooter with additional modes, including a single-player campaign.
According to known Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore, the unannounced Titanfall 3 is set to be a live service game with Extraction being the main mode. The game is said to feature seasonal content and battle passes.

The insider also claimed that Titanfall 3 will feature a single-player campaign. The game is allegedly being worked in in Unreal Engine 5, and development is said to be nearly complete. As per the leaker, Titanfall 3 will also offer additional game modes, including Team Death Match, Control, Arenas, and “all Titanfall 2 classic modes”.
Furthermore, the leaker shared that some of the characters featured in Apex Legends will also be making an appearance in the alleged sequel to Titanfall 3. The game is also said to include a real-time weather system, though there was no mention of dynamic time of day.
Recently, industry insider Jeff Grubb had addressed the cancellation of Respawn Entertainment’s first-person shooter project, clarifying that it wasn’t a Titanfall game. Rather, he said that it was the Star Wars first-person shooter team that had shifted to another project. He later elaborated on his Game Mess podcast that the original Star Wars first-person shooter had been canceled before the team transitioned to a new project. However, this subsequent project was also scrapped. While the details of what the team was working on remain unclear, Grubb confirmed that it had nothing to do with Titanfall.
Despite the cancellation, Respawn is still engaged in multiple projects. According to Grubb, Steve Fukuda has been leading a new initiative, though it is still in the prototyping phase. He emphasized that this approach aligns with Respawn’s development strategy, where projects undergo extensive experimentation before full production begins. While it is uncertain if this prototype will result in a full game, it has not been canceled at this stage.
