A new rumor suggests that Aspyr may be working on a Tomb Raider project tied to the franchise’s 30th anniversary, with speculation pointing toward a remaster of the LAU trilogy. The claim comes from Society of Raiders, a source that has previously shared Tomb Raider related information.
In a recent post, the account stated, “Tomb Raider is collaborating once more with Aspyr, publishers of Tomb Raider I-VI Remastered for the series’ 30th anniversary.” It added, “We hope to see the LAU trilogy remastered and preserved on modern platforms to complete the series before ushering in the new era of the franchise.” While not an explicit confirmation, the comments have fueled speculation that a remaster covering Tomb Raider Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld could be in development.
Additional attention has been drawn from recent activity on official channels. The Tomb Raider social media account acknowledged the 20th anniversary of Tomb Raider Legend this week, while earlier posts referencing Tomb Raider Underworld had already led some to suspect renewed interest in the trilogy.
The timing of such a release could also align with other reported developments surrounding the franchise. Separate rumors have suggested that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis may have been delayed to February 2027, potentially leaving room for a remaster project to fill the gap.
If accurate, a remaster of the LAU trilogy would follow Aspyr’s previous work on Tomb Raider I-VI Remastered, continuing efforts to bring older entries in the series to modern platforms. Neither Aspyr nor Crystal Dynamics has officially confirmed any new remaster project at this time.
