Nintendo has made the demo for Tomodachi Life Living the Dream available ahead of the game’s full release next month, giving players an early look at the upcoming life simulation title.
The demo can now be downloaded through the official Nintendo eShop page, allowing users to experience the game prior to its launch on April 16, 2026. The full game carries an estimated file size of 6.2 GB on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is priced at $59.99 and is currently available for pre-order, with support for Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers and pre-loading options. The title supports TV mode, tabletop mode, and handheld play, with a broad range of language options including English, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish.
The game builds on the original Tomodachi Life formula by allowing players to create Mii characters and observe their interactions on a customizable island. Players can watch relationships develop and evolve over time, with outcomes ranging from friendships to more complex dynamics.
First announced during a Nintendo Direct in January, the sequel introduces expanded life simulation elements, including deeper customization systems and new features such as the Palette House for creating items. The title is also confirmed to be compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.
With the demo now live, players have an opportunity to sample the experience before its full release later in April.
