Here’s a list our staff at Twisted Voxel has put together featuring our most anticipated games of the year 2026.
2026 is shaping up to be a year packed with titles showing tremendous potential, and out staff went back and forth before narrowing the list down to just five. Without further ado, here are our most anticipated games of 2026.
5. Pragmata
Pragmata has captured out interest with its mysterious sci-fi setting and unique combat mechanics. Set on a futuristic lunar research station, players control astronaut Hugh and the android Diana as they struggle to escape a hostile environment controlled by advanced AI. Diana’s hacking mechanic, used to weak spots in an enemy robot’s’ defense system, adds an interesting twist that appears to create tension when facing hostile AI.
4. Saros
Saros is a sci-fi rogue-like that aims to take the frenetic combat and procedural unpredictability of its predecessor, Returnal, and elevate it into an even more refined experience. Trailers showcase developer Housemarque’s classic bullet hell gameplay, with intense combat encounters and game systems that appeal to fans of skill-based action. Its promise of challenging gameplay with a layered progression system has made it one of our most anticipated games of 2026.
3. Marvel’s Wolverine
As Insomniac Games’ next major Marvel title after the successful Spider-Man games, Marvel’s Wolverine has us excited for several reasons. It puts players in the claws of Logan, promising a grounded, visceral take on the iconic mutant’s story. The first official trailer suggests a fast-paced and brutal melee combat system and a linear character-driven adventure, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the game come Fall 2026.
2. Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem is aiming to deliver a contrasting survival horror experience with its dual protagonist structure. Grace Ashcroft’s sections heighten tension and atmosphere with focus on traversal and hide-and-seek. On the other hand, Leon Leon S. Kennedy returns with his classic action-packed gameplay. This varied mix of gameplay has us very excited for the game’s arrival in February.
1. GTA VI
No game looms larger on the 2026 horizon than Grand Theft Auto VI. After over a decade since GTA V, Rockstar’s next main installment is expected to be a generational milestone, expansive in scale, rich in narrative, and packed with the satirical world-building that defines the series. Set in the state of Leonida, with Vice City at its heart, and starring dual leads Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, GTA VI is expected to redefine open-world game design and cultural commentary, and become one of the industry’s most significant launches ever. As such, it sits firmly at the top of our list of most anticipated games of 2026.
