Two Point Museum Adds Savage Planet Crossover in Free Update

by Greg Martin

Two Point Studios and SEGA Europe have released a new free update for Two Point Museum, bringing a crossover with Raccoon Logic Studios’ Revenge of the Savage Planet. The update is available now on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch 2, introducing a fresh Digiverse rift filled with alien-themed exhibits, strange creatures, and offbeat science.

The update opens a new rift that sends players beyond familiar museum halls and into the far reaches of the Digiverse. From there, curators can travel between planets inspired by Revenge of the Savage Planet, exploring three distinct points of interest while recovering exhibits from an unfamiliar and hostile ecosystem. The crossover blends Two Point Museum’s management-driven chaos with the unpredictable environments and creatures associated with Raccoon Logic’s sci-fi universe.

Players will encounter extraterrestrial flora and life forms that challenge both logic and safety regulations. Among the recoverable oddities are aggressive plant life such as Arid Maw and Fungal Maw, alongside other temperamental organisms that must be safely displayed for the enjoyment of museum guests. Expeditions in this new content lean into a survival-lite structure, combining exploration, experimentation, and unexpected outcomes as curators attempt to secure valuable finds.

The update introduces 6 new exhibits in total, including additions focused on botany as well as new terrarium and habitat-based creatures. To support the new content, players can unlock additional decorative items designed to give museums a more overtly sci-fi aesthetic, along with a new vending machine and a set of new materials that expand crafting options in the Workshop.

Staff management also receives new additions. Curators can install new Staff Room items aimed more at morale than practicality, including a High Five Machine and a large Hamster Wheel designed for staff use. A new staff outfit is included as well, allowing employees to dress for interstellar expeditions, with protective headgear presented as optional rather than advisable.

In a first for the series, the crossover works both ways. Players of Revenge of the Savage Planet can also discover Two Point Museum-themed content, allowing Pointian exhibits to appear within that game’s universe. The update is accompanied by a new trailer highlighting the crossover content and its tone.

Nintendo Switch 2 players are receiving additional content alongside the crossover. A free Winter Seasonal Update is now live for Two Point Museum on the platform, adding festive-themed elements. Switch 2 users can also access Zooseum Free Taster Content, offering an early look at animal-focused gameplay ahead of the full Zooseum release.

The complete Two Point Museum Zooseum experience is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2026, expanding the game with wildlife and conservation-themed management challenges designed for portable play.

The Revenge of the Savage Planet crossover update is available now at no additional cost, adding a new layer of interplanetary absurdity to Two Point Museum while continuing the game’s pattern of regular post-launch content updates.
