Warframe Joins Starfinder in Operation Orias Tabletop Adventure Releasing October 2025

by Greg Martin

Digital Extremes, the studio behind the long-running third-person action game Warframe, has announced a unique crossover with Paizo’s Starfinder tabletop roleplaying game. This collaboration, titled Operation Orias, will launch in October 2025 and brings the universe of Warframe into the rich, tactical framework of Starfinder Second Edition. The announcement marks a rare fusion of video game and tabletop roleplaying, expanding both universes in new ways.

Starfinder, known for its blend of science fiction and fantasy elements, offers a flexible RPG system where players craft their own stories in a universe filled with advanced technology, alien cultures, and magical phenomena. With the upcoming release of Operation Orias, players will now have the opportunity to guide a Tenno—a powerful, biomechanically enhanced warrior from Warframe—through this expansive setting. This partnership provides a unique gateway for fans of both franchises to explore interconnected narratives and gameplay experiences.

The Operation Orias module is being developed specifically for Starfinder Second Edition and promises a self-contained adventure that blends Warframe’s signature action-oriented themes with the strategic, character-driven gameplay Starfinder is known for. Players can expect to encounter adversaries like the Corpus and Grineer, two of Warframe’s most iconic factions, adapted for tabletop combat scenarios. The adventure is priced at $8.99 and will be available this October. Artwork for the project, including cover and introductory pages, has been provided by Silvia Barreira Pedregal, known in the community as Brighan, with an introductory piece written by TheKengineer.

Additionally, Paizo has confirmed that the adventure will leverage the full mechanics of Starfinder Second Edition, ensuring compatibility with the latest rule sets. Those interested in delving into Operation Orias will need the Starfinder Player Core, the essential rulebook for playing in this system. This strategic move highlights Paizo’s commitment to cross-media projects and community engagement, bringing new life to both properties.

This collaboration offers a fresh entry point for Warframe fans curious about tabletop gaming and presents Starfinder enthusiasts with an immersive new campaign grounded in the fast-paced, lore-rich world of Warframe. With its October release, Operation Orias could become a noteworthy addition to the library of both tabletop gamers and digital action fans alike.
