The voice actor behind Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil series is teasing a return in a future title, possibly the rumored Code: Veronica remake.

Voice actor Craig Burnatowski, who played the role of Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil 4 remake and its Separate Ways expansion, took to Twitter/X to tease a return in a future entry, possibly the rumored remake of 2000’s Code: Veronica. His tweet came in response to a post from the official Resident Evil Twitter/X account, which celebrated the third anniversary of the 2023 Resident Evil 4 remake.

In his post, Burnatowski recalled auditioned for a secret game for a secret company back in 2022. He mentioned that he had no idea what he was walking into at the time, and that he’s now very grateful to be a part of the Resident Evil franchise. The last bit of his tweet appeared to tease his involvement in a future entry. He said, “Soon the sun will set on the age of man 🤘😎🤘”

The specific line referenced by Burnatowski was spoken by Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil 4 remake, specifically its Separate Ways DLC, suggesting that the series’ antagonist will be making a return in a future unannounced title, likely the rumored Code: Veronica remake.

Earlier this month, insider and horror game enthusiast Dusk Golem (aka AestheticGamer) claimed that the Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake is being directed by Kazunori Kadoi and Yasuhiro Anpo, the same duo behind the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes. He further mentioned that the unannounced title will retain all core elements from the original game, with no major content removed. However, several aspects are said to be expanded or heavily reworked. The leaker stated, “What I’ve heard is Resident Evil Code Veronica in general is just a bit expanded, nothing is cut, some stuff heavily remixed (I hear it’s the Remake with the most things changed or happening differently than you may remember, but every enemy, location, major event, is there.”
