Everstone Studio has shared a detailed January 2026 content roadmap for Where Winds Meet, outlining a steady rollout of new story content, regions, events, and gameplay systems throughout the month. The roadmap is structured on a week by week basis and coincides with the launch of Version 1.2, which arrives on January 8, 2026, according to the developers.
The month begins in Week 1 with new progression-focused activities. On January 4, players will gain access to Solo Mode Lv.10 Unbound, alongside a new Hero’s Realm chapter titled Sorrow of Mortalbound. These additions are positioned as early month challenges, expanding both solo-focused gameplay and narrative-driven combat encounters.
Week 2 marks the arrival of Version 1.2 on January 8. This update introduces the Kaifeng Campaign and Legacy Quests, expanding the game’s main storyline. The same date also brings the World Boss encounter Nameless General and the Jianghu Martial Games event. These additions significantly broaden the scope of cooperative and competitive activities available, offering players multiple ways to engage with the update rather than funneling everyone into a single activity. It is a busy week, perhaps intentionally so.
Content continues to roll out in Week 3, beginning on January 15 with the Puzzle Cave Mistveil Prison. This is followed by the Guild Battle Preseason on January 16, introducing structured guild-focused competition. Later in the week, on January 22, the Nine Mortal Ways Base region becomes available, adding a new explorable area that was previously teased as part of Version 1.2’s headline features.
Week 4 concludes the January roadmap with story and seasonal events. On January 25, a new story chapter titled Whispers Beneath the Moon will be released. The month then wraps up on January 29 with two limited-time activities, Year of Abundance and Season End Dash, signaling the close of the current seasonal cycle and encouraging final progression pushes.
