Where Winds Meet Surpasses 9 Million Players Two Weeks After Launch

by Ali Haider

Where Winds Meet has surpassed nine million players within its first two weeks of global availability, marking a significant milestone for Everstone Studio’s ambitious free-to-play action RPG. The developers shared the achievement on their official social media account, celebrating the rapid growth of the community across PC and PlayStation 5. The announcement continues a pattern of strong momentum for the title, which launched globally on November 14, 2025.

The game entered the market with notable early success, reaching two million total players within its first 24 hours and peaking at more than 250K concurrent users on Steam during its launch week. This performance placed it among the platform’s top five most played titles at the time. Although these figures remain below the peaks reached by other major releases in 2025, the game’s sustained growth highlights an unusually strong uptake for a Wuxia-themed RPG, especially one built around a free-to-play structure without pay-to-win systems.

The developers emphasized that the milestone reflects the enthusiasm of players drawn to the game’s detailed recreation of tenth-century China and its blend of narrative and shared world design. Where Winds Meet allows players to take on the role of a young sword master navigating a world defined by martial arts, acrobatic traversal, faction conflict, and extensive story content. With over 150 hours of narrative quests and support for cooperative play, guild battles, and player versus player duels, the game delivers a broad range of activities that contribute to its wide appeal.

The title is currently available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and as a console exclusive on PlayStation 5, with confirmed support for cross-play and cross-progression between PC and console. Mobile versions are also accessible in select regions, providing additional reach across different player segments. This broad platform availability has played a key role in accelerating its global adoption.
