Wreckfest 2 Content Update 3 Patch 1 Fixes Crashes and Improves Gameplay

Bugbear Entertainment has released Content Update 3 Patch 1 for Wreckfest 2, delivering important fixes and improvements. The update addresses major stability issues, including crashes that could occur when launching the game or exiting an event. VRAM usage has also been optimized, and improvements to collision handling and suspension tuning provide a smoother racing experience.

Players will also notice refinements to gameplay balance, such as easier novice AI difficulty and reduced slowdown on offroad surfaces. Additionally, cosmetic customization has been expanded with new paint options for the Switchback bumper and grille, while community tracks have been restored for players to enjoy once again.

Wreckfest 2 is a 2025 racing video game developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. A sequel to Wreckfest, it launched via Steam Early Access on March 20, 2025, for Microsoft Windows. Release dates for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are yet to be announced.
