Wreckfest 2 Patch Fixes Crashes, Memory Leak, and Track Exploits

Wreckfest 2 Content Update 6 Patch 2 has been released, focusing primarily on stability improvements and gameplay fixes. The update addresses one of the most frequent crashes reported by players and resolves a memory leak that could affect performance during gameplay.

In addition to stability fixes, the patch corrects several gameplay and challenge-related issues. These include adjustments to challenge requirements, leaderboard submissions, and track exploits, alongside small fixes for missing descriptions and visual glitches.

Stability and Performance

  • Fixed one of the most frequent crashes that could occur at any point during gameplay
  • Fixed a memory leak that could impact overall game performance

Gameplay Fixes

  • Fixed a bug causing the game to glitch during races featuring 24 Motorhomes
  • Challenges now correctly require the stock car instead of allowing customized vehicles
  • Time Trial II challenge difficulty has been reduced

Leaderboards

  • Waypoint Race leaderboard entries will no longer be submitted if the event is not completed

Tracks

  • Fixed an exploit allowing players to cut the final corner on Dalsbanen
  • Fixed floating objects appearing on the Dalsbanen track

UI and Descriptions

  • Fixed missing descriptions for some differential upgrades

Wreckfest 2 entered Steam Early Access on March 20, 2025. Developed by Bugbear Entertainment, the destruction-focused racing sequel currently remains available on PC while the developers continue refining the experience ahead of its full release.
