Xbox Game Studios Publishing has two unannounced cross-platform games planned for release next year in 2026.

According to the LinkedIn profile of iAsia Brown (via bogorad222), Senior Game Producer at Xbox Game Studios Publishing, she led the development pipelines of two unannounced cross-platform games at the company that are planned for release in 2026. Additionally, she drove production efforts for Ara: History Untold and Contraband to align studio workflows with Microsoft’s quality, inclusion, and accessibility standards.

Given that this is Xbox Game Studios Publishing, the aforementioned two unannounced games are being developed by external studios. Currently, there are no details available on the genre of either title, though it’s possible that they are smaller-scale indie size games being developed for Xbox Game Pass.

Furthermore, according to the LinkedIn profile of Cheryl Marine (via bogorad222), former IP Expansion Integration Lead at Xbox, she was involved in the execution of integrated marketing initiatives across the Xbox ecosystem with IP planning and strategy to expand video game worlds and storytelling into film and TV. She worked with external partners and creative agencies to engage and attract billions of viewers through innovative and effective marketing activations with visible content placement at the Superbowl, MSG Sphere, SXSW, Comicon, CCXP Brazil, Video Game Awards, and an award-winning drone show.

The film and TV expansion at Xbox is likely related to similar initiatives at Obsidian Entertainment. As for which of Microsoft’s game IPs will be expanded to film or TV remains to be seen. Obsidian Entertainment would likely be working on one of its own IPs, possibly a TV series based on The Outer Worlds series.
