Xbox Game Pass Adds Space Marine II, Resident Evil Village, and More Through Early February

by Greg Martin

Xbox Game Pass is rolling out a substantial wave of additions across console, PC, and cloud, led by major releases such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II and Death Stranding Director’s Cut. The latest update brings a mix of high-profile franchises, day one releases, and returning favorites, with new games arriving steadily from now through early February.

Available immediately, Resident Evil Village joins the service across cloud, console, and PC. The eighth main entry in Capcom’s long-running horror series follows Ethan Winters into a remote European village, where survival depends on navigating brutal encounters and uncovering the secrets behind its unsettling inhabitants. Alongside it is MIO: Memories in Orbit, a day-one Game Pass release. The handcrafted metroidvania places players in control of Mio, an android exploring a decaying world overtaken by nature and machines, blending platforming combat with environmental storytelling and exploration.

Several notable titles arrive on January 21. Death Stranding Director’s Cut makes its way to Xbox Game Pass on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, offering players the expanded version of Kojima Productions’ genre-defying experience centered on reconnecting a fractured world. The same day also sees the launch of RoadCraft on PC, a disaster recovery-focused simulation built around operating heavy construction vehicles to rebuild damaged infrastructure, playable solo or in cooperative mode. Rounding out the date is Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, a new side-scrolling entry developed by the team behind Blasphemous, reimagining the classic action series with a modern take while retaining its demanding combat and platforming roots.

The lineup continues on January 27 with The Talos Principle 2, which expands on the original game’s philosophical themes through larger environments and more complex first-person puzzles set in a world where human culture survives through machines. January 28 brings Anno: Mutationem, a cyberpunk action RPG blending 2D and 3D visuals, followed by Drop Duchy, a roguelite strategy game that combines block placement mechanics with resource management and tactical combat. MySims: Cozy Bundle arrives on PC on January 29, bundling re-releases of MySims and MySims Kingdom with a focus on creativity, town building, and character-driven stories.

One of the most anticipated additions lands on January 29 with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. The game places players back in the role of Demetrian Titus as he faces overwhelming Tyranid forces in a campaign playable solo or in three player co op, alongside additional PvE and PvP modes featuring multiple Space Marine classes.

February adds further variety to the service. Indika arrives on February 2, offering a narrative-driven adventure set in an alternative version of 19th century Russia, blending surreal storytelling, dark humor, and experimental design. Final Fantasy II follows on February 3, presenting a remodeled 2D version of the classic role-playing game with its original story centered on rebellion, loss, and shifting alliances.

Xbox Game Pass also highlights recent additions and updates, including Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, which is already available on PC, as well as multiple expansions and seasonal updates across existing games. These include The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle, a major Grounded update introducing the Community Garden biome, the return of Stranger Things content to Dead by Daylight, and the latest seasonal content for Sea of Thieves.

At the same time, several titles are set to leave the service on January 31, including Starbound, Shady Part of Me, Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap. Subscribers have a limited window to revisit these games or purchase them at a discounted price before they are removed from the library.
