Xbox Games Showcase 2026 Set for June 7 With Gears Direct

by Greg Martin

Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will take place on June 7, offering a new look at upcoming titles across its first-party studios and global partners. The presentation will begin at 10 AM Pacific, 1 PM Eastern, and 6 PM UK time, and will be immediately followed by a dedicated Gears of War E Day Direct.

As with previous years, the showcase is expected to feature first gameplay reveals and major updates on a range of upcoming projects. Microsoft says the event will highlight both established franchises and smaller titles, spanning its internal studios as well as third-party collaborations.

Following the main presentation, attention will shift to Gears of War E-Day, with a deeper dive led by The Coalition. The broadcast will explore the origins of the series, focusing on the events surrounding Emergence Day. Viewers can expect additional gameplay footage, along with insights into the development of what is positioned as a key entry in the franchise’s timeline.

The June 7 event also ties into Xbox’s 25th anniversary celebrations, with the return of Xbox FanFest. The program will offer fans a chance to attend in person, with selected participants gaining access through a ticket giveaway. The experience is set to include both a retrospective on Xbox’s history and a preview of what lies ahead for the platform.

The showcase and its follow-up presentation will be streamed across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, with support for more than 40 languages. Accessibility options such as sign language and audio descriptions will also be available.

Microsoft plans to extend coverage beyond the main event, with a full week of additional content across Xbox Wire, its official podcast, and YouTube channel. This will include deeper looks at featured games and further announcements connected to the showcase.
