A new rumor suggests that Xbox may be planning a smaller showcase in the near term, separate from its previously confirmed summer event. The claim comes from Windows Central editor Jez Corden, who shared the information during a podcast hosted by Septic Sauce.

During the discussion, Corden indicated that Xbox fans could have something to look forward to soon, stating, “There might be something Xbox fans might want to tune into as well, maybe.” He added, “But Xbox might have a little something next week as well. Their own show. A little show.” No additional details were provided regarding the format or content of the potential presentation.

The timing of the rumor comes as anticipation builds around the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, which Microsoft has already confirmed will take place on June 7. That event is expected to feature updates on several major projects, though the full lineup has not been officially detailed.

Separate reports have suggested that Marvel’s Blade could appear during the June showcase. The claim, shared by YouTuber THE MAGGSHOW, indicated that the title may be part of the event’s lineup, though this remains unconfirmed. “The news has crossed my plate that indeed Blade will be shown at the Xbox showcase,” he said.

Microsoft has not commented on the possibility of a smaller showcase next week.
