Microsoft has confirmed its return to Tokyo Game Show (TGS) with a dedicated Xbox broadcast scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 7 p.m. JST (3 a.m. PT / 6 a.m. ET / 11 a.m. BST). The showcase will highlight upcoming titles from Xbox’s internal teams along with announcements from publishing partners across Japan, Asia, and other global markets.
The annual presentation has become a platform for Xbox to strengthen its presence in Japan and Asia, regions where locally developed content remains highly influential. According to Microsoft, the 2025 event will again emphasize Japan-inspired games and creative projects from regional studios.
Beyond the livestream, attendees at the physical Tokyo Game Show will be able to test upcoming titles and hardware. Koei Tecmo will host a demo of Ninja Gaiden 4, a newly announced entry in the long-running series that aims to modernize the franchise’s action formula. ASUS Republic of Gamers will also feature the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld systems, giving players in Asia their first opportunity to try the devices publicly.
Bethesda, part of Xbox Game Studios, will operate a merchandise booth in partnership with Infolens Geek Shop. Products from Fallout, Starfield, Doom, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be on sale, including exclusive items not previously released in Japan.
The Xbox TGS 2025 broadcast will be available through official Xbox and Tokyo Game Show channels, streamed in multiple languages including Japanese, English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Additional languages, including Russian, Hindi, and Indonesian, will be supported after the event. Accessibility features will include Japanese and American Sign Language as well as audio descriptions in both Japanese and English.
For those unable to watch live, Xbox Wire will publish a recap immediately after the broadcast, with localized summaries available in select regions. Standalone articles covering individual games will also be released during the show.
