Xenoblade Chronicles series composer Manami Kiyota has possibly finished the final orchestra recording for the next Monolith Soft title.

Manami Kiyota, composer of the Xenoblade Chronicles series, took to Twitter/X to share that she completed the final orchestra recording session for a project she has been working on since the summer of 2024, possibly the next title from developer Monolith Soft. She mentioned that this was her first large-scale recording session as a solo composer, so she was very nervous, but she and her team were able to successfully complete three sessions across summer, winter, and spring.

Kiyota further stated that, by the end, the project grew to a total of 86 tracks. All of the music was composed and arranged by her, and she also prepared all of the orchestral parts on her own. She acknowledged that it may have been a bit of a crazy challenge, but she added that it was something she really wanted to try at least once. According to her, there may have been many things she could have done better, but she and her team of musicians were able to record everything successfully.

In July, 2025, Kiyota revealed that she was working on a new project together with creators from around the world, and she asked fans to look forward to an official announcement in this regard. Besides composing for every title in the series outside of Xenoblade Chronicles X, Kiyota’s only discography credits on IMDB are arrangements for PokéPark Wii (2009), Smash Ultimate (2018), and an episode of Level Up Norge (2018). While this doesn’t confirm anything, her last 3 compositions being for games in the Xenoblade Chronicles series heavily suggest she will return to compose the soundtrack for a potential new entry.

Earlier, known insider NWeedle hinted that Monolith Soft’s next title will be a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles X. The insider had correctly leaked the existence of Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition.
