Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have unveiled new details for Yakuza Kiwami 3 and its bundled side story, Dark Ties, including information on the pre-order bonus and the Digital Deluxe Edition. Both titles will release together on February 11, 2026, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Players who pre-order will receive access to the Legendary Lad: Ichiban Kasuga, a downloadable character that adds the fan-favorite hero of Yakuza: Like a Dragon to the Ryukyu Gal Gang. This bonus is exclusive to early purchasers and will not be automatically included after launch.
The Digital Deluxe Edition expands the base experience with a wide collection of cosmetic and customization packs. These include:
- Legendary Outfit Pack: Legendary Character Outfit Set, Original T-Shirt Set
- Legendary Lads & Gals Pack: Legendary Lads Set, Legendary Gals Set
- Ryukyu Gal Gang Customization Pack: Jacket Set, Motorcycle Design Customization Set
- Flip Phone Customization Pack: Lock Screen Set, Design Set, Decoration Set
- Legendary BGM CD Set: A collection of in-game background music
Each of these packs offers cosmetic flair, from retro-themed flip phone decorations to character outfits, building on the series’ tradition of over-the-top side content. Sega notes that while these items are included in the Deluxe Edition, they will also be sold separately.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a full remake of the 2009 title, reimagining Kazuma Kiryu’s Okinawa and Tokyo story arc with enhanced combat, new cutscenes, and expanded side activities. Meanwhile, Dark Ties is an entirely new standalone game included in the package, starring Yoshitaka Mine, the antagonist of the original Yakuza 3. This spinoff focuses on Mine’s descent into the criminal underworld, blending dramatic storytelling with boxing-based combat and varied side experiences.
Together, the two games aim to present both a reimagined past and an untold perspective, deepening the lore of the Like a Dragon series. With multiple editions and pre-order bonuses now outlined, fans have a clear view of what to expect when these titles arrive early next year.
