The unannounced remake of Yakuza 3 is expected to bring improvements similar to those seen in previous Yakuza Kiwami titles. This would likely mean a full Dragon Engine remake, complete with vastly improved visuals, smoother and more refined combat, and seamless open-world exploration without loading screens. Story scenes could be reworked with full voice acting and enhanced cinematography, while character arcs, especially those of Kiryu and the Okinawa cast, might be expanded to better align with the modern narrative style of the series. The remake may also offer new substories, mini-games, and quality-of-life upgrades to modernize pacing and make the experience feel as polished and content-rich as the later games in the series.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 may be announced at the upcoming RGG Summit 2025. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PT, followed immediately by an RGG Direct that will provide an expanded look at announcements made during the broadcast. Both events will be streamed live through Sega’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
