Star Wars Outlaws ESRB Rating Confirms Focus on Stealth and Gambling Minigames
ESRB has rated Star Wars Outlaws for PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. Their rating also confirms some of the minigames.
Star Wars Outlaws is an action-adventure game that allows players to assume the role of an outlaw navigating the treacherous underworld of the Star Wars galaxy. The game features open-world environments that provide players with missions and jobs for various criminal factions.
The gameplay dynamics of Star Wars Outlaws encompass a range of activities, from stealthily infiltrating heavily guarded compounds to engaging in intense blaster battles against hostile adversaries. Players use a variety of gadgets and blaster-type weapons as they tackle missions, employing tactics and strategy to outmaneuver their foes.
Combat is characterized by futuristic gunfire, explosions, and cries of pain, delivering an adrenaline-fueled experience for players as they navigate through the challenges of the criminal underworld. Dramatic punching takedowns add depth to close-quarter combat encounters.
Apart from action-packed missions, the game introduces elements of simulated gambling, allowing players to wager in-game currency on Sabacc, a card game reminiscent of blackjack, complete with detailed rules. Players can also participate in betting on fantasy races.

This is third-person action-adventure game in which players assume the role of an outlaw navigating the underworld of the Star Wars universe. As players explore open-world environments, they can accept missions/jobs for various criminal factions. Most missions involve using stealth to sneak through heavily guarded compounds or shooting through waves of hostile enemies. Players use a variety of gadgets and blaster-type weapons during missions. Players can perform dramatic punching takedowns when using stealth or close-quarter combat. Fighting is highlighted by futuristic gunfire, explosions, and cries of pain. During the course of the game, players can wager in-game currency on Sabacc, a blackjack-like card game with detailed rules; one area allows players to wager on fantasy races in order to further a plot point. The word “bastard” appears in the game.
The game is being developed by Ubisoft Massive, who have previously worked on The Division. It was first announced in 2021 followed by a gameplay reveal in 2023.
Star Wars Outlaws is releasing on August 30, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
