Nintendo Switch has been updated to a new firmware today implementing a minor set of fixes. The changelog can be seen here.
According to Nintendo, they have implemented a small number of fixes in this update. They have fixed a problem where games weren’t able to open properly, solved an issue where the image did not display when using the TV mode, and a minor fix for the Nintendo GameCube controller.
All in all, this is a rather small fix and the update should download rather quickly. You have to install it in order to keep playing online.
Nintendo Switch Update 11.0.1 Changelog
Corrections for the following problems that occurred with system update version 11.0.0:
- Corrected a problem where some games couldn’t be played correctly.
- Corrected a problem where, in combination with some TVs, the image would not be displayed in TV mode and an error occurred.
- Corrected a problem which changed how the Control Stick and the C Stick on the Nintendo GameCube controller responded.
The last update for the Nintendo Switch was released at the end of November. It added an icon for Nintendo Switch Online, added the ability to backup save data automatically, and allowed to transfer data from Switch to PC through a USB cable. This made it easier to copy videos and screenshots that are saved when playing games.
