Earth Day event is celebrated on April 22. This event is a message to protect the environment and promote greener tourism and culture. Lief the Sloth is the primary character that will remain the highlight of the Earth Day event. Lief will be selling green items like Shrubs and Plants, and can also buy Weed from you at a higher price.
Aside from the addition of Lief the Sloth, we don’t really have much idea of what will happen during this event. We do know that Lief has used to run events in the past games but we are not sure if this will be the case now as well. You don’t really need to worry about preparing for the Earth Day event.
If you are stocking up for items, you can try to get the plants from Lief the Sloth. You can also keep an inventory of the weed at your home so you can sell it to Lief and generate some profit out of it. This kind of seasonal events usually come back so if you miss them, you can always return to the game when they are brought back. One of the skills the player learns in New Horizons is crossbreeding. You can get plants or flowers from Lief the Sloth to use them in crossbreeding. You can create a variety of hybrid flowers by using the different colored plants.
