Arma Reforger Update 1.3.0.144 Overhauls Vehicle Combat and Fixes Major Crashes

by Ali Haider

Bohemia Interactive has released version 1.3.0.144 for Arma Reforger, bringing a range of mechanical refinements, quality-of-life improvements, and crucial bug fixes across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. This comprehensive patch focuses particularly on refining vehicular systems, improving asset interactions, and resolving a variety of stability issues related to multiplayer gameplay and vehicle-based combat.

One of the most prominent changes involves the LAV-25, with its sight cover now more exposed, improved reticle alignment for accurate targeting, and adjustments to its wreck physics and in-game camera. Several other vehicles, including the BTR-70 and BRDM-2, received camera tweaks to enhance first-person immersion. Gameplay also benefits from adjustments to HDR settings, explosion fragmentation, and protection systems—specifically for helmets like the SSh68, which now offer resistance against PM rounds. Furthermore, multiple UI, collision, and animation bugs were fixed, ensuring smoother and more responsive interactions across a variety of scenarios.

The patch also addresses persistent stability concerns, particularly a series of crashes tied to vehicle actions, seat-switching, and spawning mechanics. Multiplayer desynchronization issues were also resolved, and the update ensures that grenades and missiles no longer cause the game to crash if their physics is deleted. Modding tools have been slightly improved, including expanded world editor camera limits and an updated entity hierarchy for powerlines.
