Assassin’s Creed Mirage Reportedly Features Lots Of NPCs Much Like In AC Unity

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is reportedly all set to feature a large number of NPCs, much like in Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Youtuber j0nathan is back with some more information on the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series. This time, he claims that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature lots of NPCs in the streets, and that the goal is to have as many as the ones seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity.

In addition, j0nathan also said that, while the entire game will take place in the city of Baghdad, the world map is broken down into distinct zones, each featuring a boss encounter. The setting will include a desert, oases, and rivers.

According to j0nathan, throwing knives and rooftop hiding spots will make a return in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The game is said to have a greater emphasis on parkour, and, therefore, will feature lots of interactivity with environments for this purpose. For example, “lanterns” can be used by the protagonist to make quick turns around the corner of walls or poles in order to build momentum and reach distant buildings. Certain assassinations featured in the game will play out in slow-motion to make them stand out as cinematic.

A prior leak for Assassin’s Creed Mirage revealed the name of its future DLC i.e. The Forty Thieves. This information was reportedly extracted from the Ubisoft Store. The leak included an image showing the game and DLC quest’s respective titles.

The Ubisoft store leak lent further credibility to previous rumors that suggested the game takes place in the city of Baghdad in Iraq. The Forty Thieves is a popular story from the One Thousand and One Nights in Iraqi folklore. After hearing it from Syrian storyteller Hanna Diyab, it was translated into French by Antoine Galland and included in the collection in the 18th century.
